A Celebration of life for Sis. Valaria Carr McNeal, 2606 E. 25th Avenue, who passed away suddenly on August 18, 2011, will be held Saturday, August 27th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Progressive M.B. Church, 2504 E. Chipco Avenue, with Rev. Dr. Bartholomew Banks, Sr., officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Sis. McNeal was soft spoken, meek, kind and humble to all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed cooking, baking and making special cakes for everyone. Prior to her demise she worked over 18 years at Winn Dixie as Bakery Manager. She leaves a loving family to cherish her fond memories: Daughter: Carselia L. Harrell; son, Isaac A. McNeal; grandchildren, Carquisha Harrell, Trevon Harrell, Ikaya McNeal, Asia Davis and Carson Davis; brothers, Delatorro and wife, Anna McNeal, Sr. and Ponce and wife, Rena McNeal, Sr.; sister, Limbana J. McNeal; sister-in-law, Mae McNeal; special relatives, uncles, James McNeal ; aunts, Florence (Suzie) Jelks, Dr. Carolyn Ryals, Jennette Washington and Josie McCall; goddaughter, LaGonnie Kelly Johnson; special friends, Gerrie Kelly Johnson and Sylvia Mitchell; and a host of other caring uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. The family would be remised not to acknowledge her beloved and devoted companion Elronzo (Ron) Williams. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5:00- 800 p.m., Friday evening. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 pm. Friends are asked to assemble at St. John Progressive M.B. Church at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Saturday for the service.
