A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Valarie A. Schlosser of Tampa, Florida who passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019, will be held Saturday, October 19th, 10:00 a.m. at LifePoint Church, 8702 Hunters Lake Dr., Pastor Bryan Brown; Elder Gregory Jackson, presiding with Bishop Michael Lewis, eulogist. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Valarie was born November 26, 1965 to the late James and Bernice L. Jackson in Ocala, Florida. She was previously married to John Curtis Schlosser in Pompano Beach, Florida and to that union her daughter was born. She enjoyed being a housewife for 10 years before moving back to Tampa and working for Ruby Tuesday. She also received her associates degree as a paralegal and had great interest in legal studies. It was her passion to educate every woman about colorectal cancer. She joined the Colorectal Cancer Association and traveled around the world to make everyone aware of this type of cancer. She enjoyed reading, cooking healthy food, volleyball and most of all being a mom to Peyton. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Louis and Zarah 'Lee Andrew' Jackson; sisters, Helen Mitchell and husband, Robert and Eleanor E. Beauford; nieces, Nekita Harris and Andrea Jackson and nephews, Larry Jackson, Jr. and baby Isiah. She leaves to mourn her passing and precious memories with her daughter, Peyton Annice Schlosser; brothers, James Jackson (Christine), Larrie Jackson (Valarie), Leslie Jackson (Sandra), Gregory Jackson (Harriette), Isaac Jackson (Gwen) and brother-in-law, James Beauford; sisters, Pauline Bacon (Isaiah), Carloyn Jackson, Roxie Harris, Cheryl Leonard (Robin) and sister-in-law, Peggy Jackson; nieces, Carla, Susan 'Cookie', Elma, Robin, Gloria, Teresca, Genel, Dana, Laticia, Jessica, Ashley, Mary, Cierra, Christina, Ondrea, Natasha, Courtney, Crystal, Leley, Caitlin, Joy and Glorida; nephews, Edward 'Bruce', Terrance, Joe, Laemern, Ketner, Tommie, Gregory, Jr., Rodney, Gregory 'Tyler', Amos, Christopher 'Chris', Gregory G., Isaac, Jr., James III and Marcus; a host of great nieces and nephews, best friend of 50 years, Sharon Robinson; New Tampa Ruby Tuesday Staff; Colorectal Cancer Alliance and the Affirmation Project Staff, Adriana Pabon; and a host of other family members and friends who will dearly miss her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home, Friday, October 18th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
