A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Valcena Thompson of Riverview, Florida who passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, 5:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., with Rev. Michael Neely, officiating.

Valcena Thompson was born on November 23, 1948, in St. Mary Jamaica W.I to Enos Swaby and Icilda Swaby. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters, and four brothers. She leaves precious memories with her daughters, Judy Howard (Ken), Carollyn Brown (Martin), Simone Phanord; grandchildren, Yannick Johnson, Courtni Howard, Kyle-Rae Patch, Quentin JC Phanord, Ray Howard (Stacey), Shane Howard (Camelie), and Laurice Howard. And by her great-grandchildren, Zachary Johnson, Lailani Lukombe, Connor Howard, Cailee Howard, Dylan Howard, Tiffany Williams, and Cadame Smith; brother, Walton Swaby; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday for the service.
