Valerie Nanette Oliver Marshall was born July 17, 1964. Nanette, as her family calls her, was educated through the Hillsborough County school system. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1981. Nanette loved her family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for kids. She called her nieces and nephews her babies. Seven years ago, she rededicated her life to the Lord, her savior Jesus Christ. Valerie knew she had to give up her way of life to spend eternal life with God. She became adamant in studying God's word. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 27.

Nanette was preceded in death by her parents, Viola Bell Thomas Jones and Nathaniel Oliver, Sr. and sister, Sherry Willingham; grandmother, Pearl Martin; brother, Robert Jones; brother-in-law, James R. Murphy; aunt, Annie Davis.

Nanette leaves to cherish her memory of her loving and devoted husband of 32 years who was the love of her life, Gregory Marshall; son, Gregory D. Marshall, Jr.;  sisters, Diana Murphy, Darlene Bivens (Willie), Phyllis Jones Strobridge of Swainsboro, GA, Linda Moore, Brenda Williams (Alvin) Debra Miles (Calvin), Mona Terry, Jennifer Creech of Enterprise, AL , and Shajuana Kitchen; brothers, Nathaniel Oliver, Christopher Roberts, and Calvin Creech (Kishena); brother-in-law, Ruben Marshall; uncles, Elder Charles Thomas of Lakeland, Fl., Willie C. Thomas (Emma) of Riverview, Fl. She is also remembered by her 35 nieces and nephews, and a host of great and great-great-great-grand nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
