Homegoing Services for Mr. Van Murray, Sr. of Tampa who passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 4:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Apostle David P. McNair, officiating. Van was born December 22, 1967 in Tampa, Florida. Van enjoyed fishing and a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team. He loved his favorite hobby, collecting R/C boats and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Wesley and son, Vance Murray. He leaves to cherish his wife, Towanda Murray the love of his for 11 years; children, Kenyetta, Kiela, Jamall, Tanaya, Van, Jr. and Aniyah Murray, Rosalyn Jenkins, Jamikal Harris and Shavaneka Pitts; grandchildren, Zacreon White, Cory Harvey, Jordan Wright and Wilbert Williams, Jr.; mother, Kate English; godson, Darius Graham; a host of loving brothers and sisters; other family members and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 1st, from 5 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
