Obituary

Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Vera Elizabeth Jackson Coy of Tampa who went to rest Saturday, at 7:01 p.m., January 3, 2015 will be held Saturday, January 10th, 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Progressive M.B. Church, 3011 E. North Bay Street, Rev. Reginal Webb, pastor officiating. Vera Elizabeth Jackson Coy was born on March 7, 1928 in Tampa, Florida to the late Robert Broadnax and Lillian Jackson. Mrs. Coy was a born again Christian, being added to the body of Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of New Bethel Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, deaconess and usher until her health failed. Her passion was her church and working in the yard {any body's yard} with her flowers, she loved to make things grow. She leaves to mourn her passing a loving and devoted son and daughter, Ronnie Williams and Jeanette Williams; granddaughter and grandson, Vanessa Williams and Louis Cofield, Jr.; great grandsons, Louis Cofield III, Malachi Hicks, Ra'Vaughn Hicks and Nehemiah Gilyard; nephew, Patrick W. Tyler; cousins, Harold M. Evans, Charlie Thomas, Barbara Jones, James and Twanda Woodall, Melvin and Janice Woodall, Lillian Hudgson, Gregory Woodall, Lional Keith and Paulette Woodall, Marty and Paulette Woodall and many other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at New Bethel M.B. Church on Saturday, January 10th one hour prior to the service. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.
