Vernon Colbert " Boss White" was born in Tampa, Florida on May 28, 1979, to Vernon Colbert, Sr. and Deborah H. Gay. He enjoyed his loud music, and spending time with family and friends. He loved cracking jokes along with wearing his wacky crazy socks.

Vernon was preceded in death by his loving mother, Deborah H. Gay; stepfather, Jerome Gay; grandparents, Vera Butts-Colbert, Grover Henry, and Mary Henry; cousin, Deonne Johnson; aunts, Linda Reese, and Renee Turner; uncles, Robert E. Reese, and Willie Butts.
