Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Virginia Griffin-Roberts of Tampa, FL who passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 will be held Tuesday, April 12th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Rev. Kevin Well, Sr., officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Virginia was born January 5, 1936 in Bainbridge, Ga to the late Frank Griffin, Sr. and Cleotha Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Roberts, Sr.; parents, Frank Griffin, Sr. and Cleotha; son, Larry B. Griffin; 4 brothers, Earnest Griffin, Frank Griffin, Jr., Willie B. Griffin and Adolphus Griffin. Virginia leaves to cherish her memories with 2 daughters, Patricia Griffin, Tampa, FL and Beverly D. Roberts of Houston, TX; 2 sons, William H. Roberts, Jr. (Charlene) of Maryland and Tony R. Roberts (Pat), Orange Park, FL ; 4 sisters, Joyce L. Wells- Wilson of Bainbridge, GA, Juanita Griffin, Nancy Gilbert (Marion) all of Tampa, FL, Gwendolyn Turner (Melvin) of Bainbridge, GA; brother, James Griffin of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Lawanda V. Barrow, Hasani C. Collins, Gwandoya K. Collins, Nangwaya K. Collins, Keyanna P. Collins, Rashida M. Roberts of Houston, TX, Jasper Moore, North Carolina, Timothy and Caleb Roberts of Atlanta, GA; Tyler and Jessica Roberts, Orange Park, FL; 6 great grandchildren, Shaquitney C. Barrow, Najae Collins, Makiya J. Barrow, Trinitee Collins, Colin J. Barrow and Robert Van Bradley, Tampa, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
