A homegoing celebration for Mr. Von Eric Dawson of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 will be held on Friday, April 21st, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Elder Bernard McCray, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Von was born on June 27, 1969 in Titusville, Florida to Albert Dawson, Jr. and Kathleen Pruitt. Von graduated from Andrew Jackson School in Cambria Heights of Queens, New York. He was a member of the track and field and football team. He was employed with Ingersoll-Rand Company. He leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife, Sicorra Dawson; children, Aqiyla Geneva Dawson and Von Eric Dawson, Jr.; 4 grandchildren; brother, Albert Napoleon Dawson (Denise); sister, Retina Deon Dawson (Vance); 3 aunts; 4 uncles; in-laws, Judie and Bernard McCray, James Bradley, Willie Williams, Willie Williams, Jr., Nicole Williams, Charlonda and Alba Manzano; godmother, Roberta Godwin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service on Friday.
