Homegoing services for Mr.Walter Edward Grant of Tampa who passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012, will be held on Saturday, June 23rd at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel,2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd, with pastor Rochester Jacobs, officiating. Walter Edward Grant, age 71 of 102 E Patterson Street, Apt 403 Tampa, Florida 33604 took the hand of GOD and bid this earth farewell on the evening of Friday, the 15th of June, 2012. Mr. Grant was preceded in death by three sisters: Mrs. Mary Wimberly (Elbert Wimberly), Mrs. Martha Stringer and Mrs. Juanita Warren and one brother, Mr. Thomas McClendon, Jr. He leaves to lament his passing a devoted sister, Inez L. Green and many sorrowing nieces and nephews among who was most special to his heart, Ms. Katrina Knights-Roberts. As well, he leaves many other family members (among who are Mr. L.J. McClendon and wife Ellease, The McClendon Family and Mr. Joseph Brown), friends and his neighbors in the Oaks of Riverview Apartment Community. Visitation will be held Friday, June 22, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Aiken's Funeral Home Chapel at 5:00pm. Family and friends are asked to gather at Aiken's Chapel at 4:45.Family will receive friends immediately after Saturday's service in the community center at the Oaks of Riverview Apartment Community 102 E. Patterson Street.
