Waymon, Jr. was born November 23, 1934, to the late, Waymond Smith, Sr. and Levern Williams Smith in Louisville, Georgia.

He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. He was an ordained minister, father of ten, avid fisherman and a retired longshoreman.

He is survived by his wife, Levern Smith; children, Thomas Smith (Desiree Petermon), Carl Smith, David Smith (Von Jackson), Larry Smith (Diane), Charles Smith (Rhonda), Shelly Dodson (Steward), Corey Smith (Joya), Dale Smith (Ginger), Sherideen Smith and Richardeen Smith (Aaron Demaerrit); and a host of grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
