Mr. William David Cole

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. William David Cole of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 11:00 a.m. at New Mt. Zion Church, 2511 E. Columbus Dr., Pastor Larry Roundtree II; Assoc. pastor Min. Larenz Johnson, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. William David Cole was born in Tampa, Florida on September 26, 1966 to the late Sam and Ethel Elizabeth Cole. He was affectionately known to most people as 'Cole' and raised in Hillsborough County. He graduated from Robinson High School and worked at the Tampa Convention Center. He was raised in the New Mt. Zion MB Church, baptized by the late Rev. Bobby Jones. He enjoyed playing pool, dominoes, watching sports and enjoyed a good Cuban cigar and loved the Dallas Cowboys football team. He leaves to cherish his fond and loving memories with his children, Jasmine, David Jr., and Demontra, Anthony (Porchia), Cierricka, Dominique, Jackie, Jessica, Ryan, Tacara and Davisha, Shaquita, Jevel, Sydavia, Ronald, Hakeem, Jasmone and Jamokie; grandchildren, Anthony, Jr., Uriah, Evelio, Jasoni, Jamarko, Queen and Havier; a devoted mother, Ethel E. Cole; companion, LaSonya Lavese Cole; brothers, Brendford L. Cole, Carl A. Cole and Jeffrey B. Cole (Kimberly); sister, Laverne Miller; uncles, William Malone (Rose), Jake Malone (Hariett), Malvin Terrell, Nathaniel Cobb and Charlie Swaine; aunts, Dr. Anita Faoye (Badajida), Ossie Malone, Rosie Malone and Vera Terrell; godmother, Rose Douglas; godfather, the late William Swaine; nephews, Terry Cole (Samantha), Cedrick Cole and Bobby Cole; nieces, Sheri and Vontrece Cole; special family, Brenda Thompson, Walter White, Vetecia White and Gloria Flanning; special cousins, Kimberly Wimberly, Natalie Thomas (Sigmaud), Zenora Sanders (Scottie); special friends, Margaret Williams, Keith George, Kenny George, Freddie Archie, Darryl Williams and Whimp; a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 23rd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
