Obituary

Mr. William Willingham "Shorty" was born on October 3, 1942, in Camilla, Georgia to the parentage of the late Jack and Ira Willingham. Shorty was taken into the arms of the Heavenly Father on Monday, May 24, 2021.

He was educated in the public school system of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Howard W. Blake Senior High School, class of 1962. He served in the United States Air Force, worked for the Housing Authority of New York City, State of Florida as a toll booth operator, and was an independent truck driver until retirement. Shorty enjoyed participating in activities with the Barksdale Senior Center and was an active member of the alumni of Howard W. Blake Senior High School, class of 1962.

Shorty was preceded in his homegoing by his brothers, Alan, Milton, and Jack Willingham; sisters, Alice Foster, Katie Mae Gorham, Cora Lee Abrams, Elizabeth McArthur, and Betty Jean Willingham; and other beloved nephews, nieces, and family members.

Shorty leaves to cherish memories of him with 3 daughters, Sheila (Steven) Gadson, Angela (Tommy) Frederick, and Devetress Jones; 2 sons, Steven and Craig Willingham; sister-in-law, Idella Willingham; grandchildren, Demetrius, Roderick, Travis, and Sanethia Gadson; Terrance (Tiffany) Frederick, Teah (Russell) Lambright and Tera (Thomas) Howard; 12great-grandchildren; 8great-grandchildren; nieces, Ann Foster, Eunice (Ricky) White, Rhonda (Leonard) Robinson, Rosalyn, Pamela and Julie (Bradford) Daniels; nephews, Clayton, Charles and Milton Foster, Milton (Pearl), Roosevelt, and Jeffrey (Darbi); cousins, Johnnie Mae, Dwan, and Dwight Franklin; special friends, Lonnie Jackson, Jr., Donald Tyron Evans, John Williams, Pearl Harris, Jessie Mae Gadson, and Patricia Reed; and a host of othersorrowing relatives, and friends.

There will be no public viewing of the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
