Mr. Willie C. Jones was born on February 26, 1934, in Donaldsonville, Georgia, to the late Ms. Naomi Moore and Mr. LD Jones. A devoted member of Mt. Sinai Holiness Church, Mr. Jones served as a deacon during his time there. He had a deep love for baseball and enjoyed spending time on his porch. A hard worker, Mr. Jones was employed at Busch Gardens until July 2024. On April 1, 1963, he married Missionary Geraldine Philpot-Jones, and they shared a loving union until her passing on March 18, 1998.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Missionary Geraldine Jones; his daughter, Peggy (Patricia Ann) Harris; mother, Naomi Moore; father, LD Jones; sister, Leola Johnson; brother, "Bruford"; aunt, Emma Gaines; great-grandsons Kenneth Washington III and Kevin Christmas and his best friend, John Willis.
Mr. Jones leaves cherished memories to his daughters, Wanda Harris Watson Thomas (Ernest) and LaTamika Jones; devoted grandson, Alfred Parham, Jr. (Erica); grandchildren, Geraldine Christmas, Michael Newton (Buddah), and Dr. Peggy Patricia Ann Harris-Singleton (Joseph), all of Tampa, FL.; sisters-in-law, Katherine Bell (Mark) of Fayetteville, GA., and Annette Philpot of Live Oak, FL.; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is also survived by his Busch Gardens colleagues, the Moore family of Donaldsonville, Georgia; Sally A. Russell and daughters, Marion Gaines and sons; LaShanie Conyers, Mildred Philip, and family, Karnesia Jones and family, Bernard Brewington and wife, Jimmy Collins and wife, Donald Moore and wife, Advent Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, Aikens Funeral Home Staff, and neighbors who held him dear. Mr. Jones', "Duck", favorite saying, "As long as I get done what I done!".
