Homegoing services for Mr. Willie Davis "Calvin" Sr. of 5803 Langston Dr.,who passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 11 :00 a.m., Kingdom Hall, 4802 N. 17th Street, Bro. Keith Lee, officiating. Interment will be held on Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Willie was born September 15, 1943 in Statesboro, Georgia and was a long time resident of Tampa. He was affectionately known as Calvin and was baptized Jehovah's Witness. Calvin enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to dinner and doing things with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Macon Davis, Sr., father and mother-in-law, Tony and Claudia Jordan. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Elouise J. Davis; children, Darryl Jordan, Wilbert Ponder, III, Kimberly Ponder, Derek Davis, Sr., Artavius (Felicia) Davis, Willie Davis, Jr., Valencia (Lenorad) Anthony and Willie Davis; 33 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; mother, Christen Davis; brothers, Johnson (Shirley) Davis, Donald Davis, Macon Davis, Jr. (Bobbie), Albert (Brenda) Davis, Tom (Millie) Davis and Larry (Lisa) Davis; sisters, Clissree Weeks, Gracie (Darnell) McCray, Sharon (Theodore) Rodgers and Deandra Davis; aunt, Clara Harrison; uncles, Julius, Romie Ulysses and Eugene Davis; brother-in-law, Hubert Williams; sisters-in-law, Evelyn (James) Troutman, Joann Jordan and Gloria Edmonds; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Christine Harvis, Terry Davis, Sr., Caddie Timmons, the Dexter's, Lana Cox, Divitas, VA 7 South; a host of Christian brothers and sisters, and the staff of Buddy Freddie's, Bayada's nursing staff; and a host of others. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. The family and friends are asked to meet at the Hall for the service on Saturday morning.
