Homegoing services for Mr. Willie G. Dixon of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on December 23, 2014 will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd with a local minister, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Willie was born February 2, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida. He later moved to Screven, Georgia as a young child and attended the local schools there. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. He leaves to cherish fond memories with his loving wife of 50 years, Marjorie Dixon; son, Willie Dixon (Lanore); granddaughter, Chasiea Dixon; grandsons, Aumbray Livingston (Destany) and Hakeem Dixon; 5 brothers, Charles Dixon (Willene), Trenton, NJ, John Dixon, Lawrence Dixon (Barbara), and Douglas Dixon, all of New Brunswick, NJ and Troy Dixon (Martha), Jesup, GA; 2 sisters, Shirley Copper and Minnie Dixon both of New Brunswick, NJ; sisters-in-law, Alberta Reed and Cynthia Mitchell both of Tampa, Florida, Yvonne Mitchell Willis, Douglasville, GA, Patsy Dixon, Screven, GA; god-daughters, Hassanna Grier and Diana Black; and the Fennell and Black families; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 2nd from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the service on Saturday.
