Rev. Jackson was born on February 16, 1944, in Palatka, Florida to Theodore and Bertha Jackson. Some of his achievements included attending the University of Florida, serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Senior Pastor of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Jackson resided in Thonotosassa with his wife Marva Jackson, where he married and resided for 39 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt, Dollie Mae Brown; uncles, Deacon Johnny Brown and Rev. Abner Jackson "Uncle Snook"; nephew/son, James L. Reed, Jr.; brothers, Horace, Eddie, David, Jimmy, Ulysses, Theodore, Jr., and Ernest Jackson; and sisters, Juliette Jackson, Thelma Harper, and Betty Allen.

He leaves precious memories with his wife, Marva Verdell Jackson; children, Willette, Willie, Jr. (Barbara), Wendell (Melinda), Wayne (DeShun), Zeatrick, Reneece, and Desmond; grandchildren, Revee, Aaliyah, Shamar, Natasha, Sinaa, Algernon, Naikia, Joshua, Cassandra, Jamia, Lathanial, Dejean (Lydia), Kenya, India, Macaria, Zyreia, Zeatrick, Jr., Zerrick, ZaVeon, Zemetrick, Raelynn, Mylah, Keyontae,and Destiny; great-grandchildren, Ahziyah, Nariyah, Jikiyah, JhReam, Lauryn, and Ali; "like a brother", Ron Garrett (Rose); sisters, Elder Barbara Gainey, Margaret McKay, and Dorothy Edwards; sisters-in-law, Debra Smith, and Cheryl Gillard (Louis); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
