Wilma Sherman was born on April 17, 1958, in Tampa, Florida to the late parents, Troy Sherman, Sr. and Freddie Sherman. Some of her hobbies included participation in gardening, knitting, traveling, and watching movies. She was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, class of 1976. She retired from the City of Tampa after 20 plus years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Robert Sherman, Sr. and Troy Sherman, Jr.

Wilma leaves behind children, Tiffany Borders (Walter) and Tony Monroe; grandson, Walter Borders, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Wilson, Carolyn Owens and Helen Johnson; brother, Mark Sherman (Monika); aunt, Luvenia Crum; nieces, Sherna Heyward (Richard), Marquita Morgan (Stanley), Sharese Wiley, Yolanda Sherman, Katrina Dent (Dmarcus), and Sandra Carter; nephews, Edward Wilson, Jr., Demetrious Wilson (Denitra), Robert Sherman, Jr., and Barry Brown (Shondra), and a host of cousins and friends.
