Obituary

Homegoing Services Mrs. Yolanda Louise Freeman Warmack of Tampa will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Friendship M. B. Church, 3102 E. Lake Ave., with Rev. Dr. H. L. Daniels, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Yolanda Louise Freeman was born in Tampa, Florida on September 16, 1933 to the late Steve Freeman and Lena Williams Freeman. Upon the death of her parents, she was raised by Robert and Mildred Jordan. She was called to her reward on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at The Home Association Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She attended the public schools of Hillsborough County, graduated from Middleton High School and thereafter graduated from Tampa Barber College, where she received a Master Barber's Degree. She was joined in Holy Matrimony with Harold Bernard Warmack on July 3, 1951, and to this union were born, two daughters and two sons. Accepting Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior, Yolanda was converted at an early age. She attended several churches through the years, and was a long standing member of Pleasant Chapel A.M.E., New Progress M.B.C., and recently moved her membership to New Friendship M.B.C. Mrs. Warmack was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Harold B. Warmack, Sr., her parents, Steve Freeman and Lena Williams Freeman and Robert and Mildred Jordan, brothers, Andrew Freeman, James Freeman, Johnny Freeman, Robert Freeman and Raymond Wilson and sisters Beulah Roberts, Maddie Johnson, Louise Freeman, Lagrathia Jones and Geraldine Brown Iverson. All who knew her will mourn her passing, but she will be missed especially her children: Alalia C. Thomas, Harold Bernard Warmack, Jr., Carl Cornelius Warmack, Rosa Mae Warmack, all of Tampa, FL and Oscar Reeves of Euless, Texas and Sylvia Ann Johnson, Gwendolyn (Robert) Doby-Baker and Juanita Doby of Tampa, FL; grandchildren: Leondra Thomas-Robinson (Doniel) and Eddie L. Thomas, Jr., all of Tampa, FL, and her great-grandchildren: Jemarcus D. Thomas, Jonah Bernard Thomas, of Tampa, FL and Keondre' S. The viewing will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Aikens Funeral Home 2708 E. Martin L. King, Jr. 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 6:30. Family and Friends are asked to meet at the church at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday for the service.
