Obituary

Zeffie Dell Marshall was born to the parentage of Robert Harmon and Annie Bell Harmon in Jackson, Georgia on March 17, 1939. She was raised in Youngstown, Ohio by her paternal grandmother and her father. She accepted Christ at an early age. Zeffie was educated in the Mahoning County District School System After graduation she married her high school sweetheart Sgt. Doc Henry Marshall Sr. To this union was born two sons. After traveling as, a military wife Doc Sr. Surprised Zeffie with a trip to Tampa to reacquaint her with her sister. They fell in love with the Sunshine State and made Tampa their home. Zeffie enjoyed life she was very kind and generous. There was always a meal and a good time at Zeffie's. She later became the manager at Marcuss Jamaican Bar until she became part owner of The 5th Avenue Tavern (The Jamaican Bar). She could be seen cheering her favorite Cricket team on in Tampa or traveling with the team out of town. Zeffie was a former member of Peace Progressive M.B. Church under the tutelage of the late Rev. J.C. Goins. She was preceded in death by her husband Sgt. Doc Henry Marshal Sr. and her two sons Doc Henry Marshall Jr. and Robert Lee Marshall Sr. Both of her parents. A sister Bernice Stephens and her grandmother Hattie M. Harmon. Zeffie leaves to mourn her passing a very loving and devoted daughter, Julia Renee Marshall; grandchildren, Robert Lee Marshall Jr. and children, Latisha Marshall, Doc Marshall and family, Juanita Marshall and son, Minnie McDonald, Antonio Daniels and Tavarius Daniels; 2 adult great grandsons Keavon Marshall and Octaveon Marshall; 5 sisters Betty Lou Price, Marsha Walker, Louvella Harmon, Roberta Harmon, and Regina Harmon; 1 brother, Robert Harmon Jr.; niece and nephew Linda Washington and Larry Stephens; grandniece, Selena Harmon; special cousins, Willie Harmon Sr. and James Parker Sr. (Jessie); godson, Rev. Darren M. Watson (Olwyn); special friends, Mother Rogena Lee Glean, Dea. Bernard Jordan, Lafayette Mayes, Clarence Jonhson, Dorothy Sipp, the Gilchrist and Lucas families and a host other sorrowing relatives and friends.
